Jon Taylor and our team were asked to undertake a general build project to create a much- needed third bedroom. The client was keen to keep costs to a minimum, so Jon worked on a solution that would reduce the build costs without sacrificing quality.
As a cost-effective approach, Jon decided against using steel beams and instead opted for a mixture of timber and plywood, which provided essential structural support while also serving as a storage cupboard area. This solution eliminated the need to remove part of the roof for steel beams, and it was approved by building control.
Making the most of the available space, Jon and his team took just 700mm from the second
